Pregnancy care
Being pregnant may bring a lot of changes to your daily life. One of the most common and major changes are food changes. There is no question that the healthier you eat during your pregnancy the better it is for your baby. Keep in mind that food you eat will pass on to your baby, so if you are eating nutritious foods, your baby is getting the benefits of it. In pregnancy you not only need to provide yourself with adequate calories, vitamins and minerals, but you are also supplying your baby with the nutrients that he or she needs to grow.
In pregnancy choose foods from all of the food groups, and vary your choices from day to day. Second, eat each of the macronutrients at every meal. You don't necessarily need a lot of protein or fat in your food, but include at least a little. Third, if you have any doubts about whether you're getting all the nutrients in food, take a prenatal supplement as extra insurance.
Food with fresh fish could also be dangerous for pregnant ladies. They may contain a high amount of mercury, which also may cause birth defects. Toxins in fish foods also can be dangerous, to play it safe eat fish that is low in fat.

Hugs! Sometimes no matter how much time passes the bad feelings don't go away but hopefully one day they won't be as potent.

2nd Pregnancy
I had an Ectopic Pregnancy last March 2011, and have my right tube removed.
This is my 2nd pregnancy. My LMP was 10-12-2011, my first ultrasound was on 11-20-2011, there is a gestational sac measuring 0.58 diameters, no yoke sac nor fetal pole seen yet. My OB said that i'm 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant based on my LMP. She advised me to have a 2nd scan for pregnancy viability after 2 weeks.
I'm bleeding for 5 days now. It was just a normal spotting from 1st to 2nd day of bleeding. I went to the hospital to check if the bleeding is normal or not, then my OB gave me Duvadilan and Duphaston. On the 3rd day I almost soak 2 panty liners. and went to my OB again, this time she requested me to do the 2nd scan right away. Ultrasound result has no progress except from the diameter of the gestational sac that measures 1.1 cm, still no yoke sac nor fetal pole seen. I haven't seen my OB yet because I just got the result of the scan.
Please help, what does it mean? Did I have a miscarriage? Is there any chance for a fetal development? I'm so worried about this
It doesn't sound like you had a miscarriage yet. I am not a doctor and it breaks my heart to hear this, but it does sound like the pregnancy may not be viable - MAY but not definitely. Though, my sister-in-law bled nearly cups of blood with two pregnancies and she was fine... turned out to have both babies health and happy. Similar thing happened to my sister, and she had her baby this past May.
It's just that at 8 weeks pregnant you should probably be able to see more Are you having any cramping? With a m/c you will probably have severe cramping. Sending positive vibes to you that everything works out and this ends up just being a big scare! *hug
When did you start menstruating agian?
It stopped bleeding from the miscarriage on Nov 20th. I thought I should start my period again already. I'm worried because my cycle was just getting back to normal, with a 3 day variation from month to month. I hope that I dont stop menstruating again. We are being careful to prevent pregnancy untill I'm ready physically to be preagnant again (probably February). But I would like to know if I'm ovulating I'm probably worrying way to soon, I hope.

Miscarriage at 37
Hi everyone. I don't post here very often but lurk quite a bit. I think this is a great place to come and get some wonderful insight though. I feel comfortable sharing my story here, so here it goes.
I had finally gotten my bfp on 11/16/11 after 8 months of trying. I have had two other successful pregnancy's so I was thrilled to be having the final addition to our family. On 12/1 the spotting began in the evening. I had spotted a small amount with my 18 month old daughter, but I knew this was different. I went in the next morning for an ultrasound which showed an abnormal sack of fluid. The doctor said only time would tell... As the bleeding continued, I knew it was over. I guess I can consider myself lucky in a way that the bleeding wasn't any heavier than a normal menstrual cycle and the cramps were very, very minimal. I was only 6 weeks pregnant so maybe that's why?? Anyhow, a week later I went for another ultrasound. This time it showed that my body was expelling the pregnancy on it's own. I am trying to think positive in the way that it is better that the miscarriage happened now rather than later, if it had to happen. I am so incredibly disappointed and angry with my body though and TTC can be so exhausting. I will be turning 38 in April so I can't help but wonder if my egg quality is a factor. I really want to try again but dh and I are both concerned. I think it is worth one more try though, but if we are successful I know I will be a nervous wreck the entire pregnancy
Sorry to hear about your loss... I don't have much insight to offer for your situation (I don't know much about egg quality changing, etc.) but I think if you feel in your heart there is someone missing in your family, you should continue to try, and if need be, seek the advice/help of a doctor who specializes and can give you some insight??
I have lost a baby before so I know how difficult this is, and how down you must be feeling. All I can say is it will pass (in the sense that it will get easier and you will think of it less), and once you become pregnant again you will love that baby more because of your experiences....
Again, my condolescences... my thoughts and prayers are with you

miscarriage side effects?
Is there side effects after miscarrying? I haven't been able to eat well the past few days because I've been sooooo nauseous. It's very possible that I'm getting sick but I'm hoping its just a side effect. .Anyone else like this after losing a baby?
In my own pregnancy experience I have only had 1 miscarriage so my experience is somewhat limited. I was not ttc at the time and was taking a birth control that was not strong enough for me my doc later said (I bled throughout the month, etc.) Anyways, I remember feeling like I had a cold (kind of sore all over)... I was not nauseous at all. I was in the shower and "something" literally fell out. I was on my period at the time (so I thought) so I thought it was just a regular blood clot I sometimes get. It did not go down the darin, however, so I was slightly taken aback and picked up the clot. I got out of the shower and put the clot into a ziplock bag because I thought it was a growth of some sort. I went into the hospital and was examined. Doctor told me I had miscarried at approx 3 months gestation. Long story not so short my only symptoms were feeling achey... I think if you KNOW what is happening you are more aware and the situation may add to the nauseous feeling?? Not too sure but that is my small amount of experience. Sorry again for your loss but I know we will see a BFP again very soon!!!!
~~Take good care of yourself, of your body, lots of rest, treat yourself like a princess for the upcoming weeks~~

Scary Statistics
So I was looking at statistics and I have to say these scare the crap out of me.
Miscarriage Probability
I get the 10% from weeks 3-6, and even the 5% from weeks 6-12. However, 3% in the 2nd trimester???? Is that accurate? That means 3 out of every 100 have a miscarriage or still birth in the 2nd trimester? 1% for stillbirth rates overall? How come it seems crazy to me that 1 out of 100 babies will be stillborn?
Sorry to be a Debbie downer... I'm devastated right now!!! I guess I'm hoping to hear that it's not true!
I didn't really read the website but apparently 1/5 women miscarry...
It's scary and I was always freaking out until week 8 (apparently is goes down then) and then week 12...
Don't forget that stats are SOOO complex to understand.
